La Piana dei Mulini is an historical residence which dates back to the end of 1700. Once a watermill and a centre for colouring wool, in 1919 it was transformed into an hydroelettric plant. At the end of 1990, thanks to an extensive work of restoration and conservation La Piana dei Mulini became a Scattered Hotel, whose main peculiarities are a familiar welcome in comfortable rooms and a cuisine based on natural and local products. It’s a Site of Community Importance SCI and it's under the supervision of The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
La Piana dei Mulini is surrounded by the green Nature of Biferno's River Park .The total area has been improved for practising joggin, nordic walking, bird-watching, mountain bike and shiatsu massages or for simply relaxing with the sound of the Biferno's water.
Those who love nature and want to be part of it, can go canoenig and rafting too. Here you can buy fishing permission for Pesca Ambiente (no-kill fishing), which is one of the most practised hobbies along Biferno's riverbanks.

La Piana dei Mulini has 12 warm and comfortable bedrooms, with breathtaking views of the green Biferno's River Park. These rooms are located in different buildings, near each other, that is: La Masseria, La Centrale and I Mulini, once used for different working activities. All the ancient buildings have been restored at the end of 1990, thanks to the experience and the ability of local workers.
Ristorante Our kitchen is based on the most genuine local gastronomy, with dishes made of the local products available in the area of Biferno's valley. All the recipes served here are genuine, local and traditional and they are inspired by the project’s quality research on which the entire philosophy of La Piana dei Mulini is based.
Events
La Piana dei Mulini offers a unique setting for special events, thanks to its different dining rooms, each one characterized by its own story. People can choose the dining room they prefer according to their needs. The Big room, with its warm wooden truss, is ideal for cerimonies, meetings and internships. The Arch room, with its pale stone vaults, is a beautiful place for special occasions such as a romantic dinner.
